Maternal Paternal Line

Hannah Benjamin was the daughter of Simeon Benjamin and Abigail Wells. On August 27, 1771, Hannah married Gershom Case in Southold, Long Island, New York. Hannah and Gershom were the parents of Daniel, Elizabeth, Gershom Terry, Benjamin, Paul, Abigail and Hannah.


Simeon Benjamin was born in 168?. He is the son of Simeon Benjamin and Waite unknown last name. Simeon married Abigail Wells on May 28, 1747 in Southold, Long Island, New York. Simeon and Abigail were the parents of Joshua, David, Hannah and Paul. Simeon died between April 4 and July 28, 1761 in Southold, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York.

Abstract of Simeon's will
All my land that I bought from John Wells shall be sold. Abigail, wife, a third of all his land. Also, the westermost room where I now live, so long as she remains my widow. His bedding, and household stuff, 2 cows, and all the rest of my moveable estate. Joshua, eldest son, all land and meadows, except that above. Shall pay to David Benjamin 300 lbs when David reaches 21. Shall pay to Hannah Benjamin 50 lbs at age 21 and 50 lbs at age 25. Wife and brother-in-law, John Wells, executors. Witnessed by Freegift Wells, Timothy Wells, and Mark Wells.


Simeon Benjamin was born about 1648 in Watertown, Massachusetts. He was the son of Richard Benjamin and Ann unknown last name. Simeon married Waite unknown last name and they were the parents of Nathan, Simeon, William, Wait and an unknown female child. Simeon settled on a large farm at Corchaug. The Benjamins continued in possession of this farm until Simeon Benjamin died in 1823, without issue and the property went into other hands. Simeon died before 1698 in Southold, Long Island, New York.

Waite unknown last name died on January 13, 1703.


Richard Benjamin was born about 1600. Richard came to American on board the "Lion", landing here on September 16, 1632. He was a Proprietor in Watertown, Massachusetts. About 1640 Richard married Ann unknown last name. Richard and Ann were the parents of John, Joseph, Ann, Richard and Simeon. Richard died about 1686.
