Margery Clowes
was born in Gosworth, Chesire, England. She was one of six children
born to John Clowes and Margery unknown last name.
In 1683 she came to Pennsylvania on board the "Endeavor of
London". On March 31, 1684 Margery married Richard Hough in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
Margery and Richard were the parents of Richard, Mary, Sarah,
John and Joseph. Margery died on January 30, 1719/1720.
John
Clowes was born in England. John married Margery unknown
last name. John and Margery were the parents of Margery, Rebecka,
William, Sarah, Joseph and John. John, Margery and their children
Margery, Rebecca, and William came to Pennyslvania on board the
ship "Endeavor of London" in 1683. John and family were
members of the Society of Friends. John represented Bucks County,
Pennsylvania at the Provincial Assembly in 1683 and 1684. John
died on July 2, 1698, leaving 500 acres adjacent to the Delaware
River to his widow Margery.
