Martha Corwin
was born in 1639 in Ipswich, Essex County, Massachusetts. She
was one of four children born to Matthias Corwin and Margaret
Shatswell. On December 15, 1658
in Southold, Long Island, New York Martha married Henry Case. Martha and Henry were the parents
of Henry, Theophilus and Hannah. Martha married Thomas Hutchinson
on January 11, 1665 and they were the parents of Matthias and
Samuel. Martha died after 1698 in Southold, Long Island, New York.
Matthias
Corwin was born between 1595 and 1600 in Workington, Cumberlandshire,
England. He was one of three sons born to John Corwin and
Marjorie unknown last name. Before 1627 Matthias married
Margaret Shatswell and they
were the parents of Martha, John, Theophilus and Daniel. They
immigrated to Ipswich, Massachusetts before 1634. By 1655, Matthias
owned nineteen tracts of land totaling nearly three hundred and
forty acres in Southold, Long Island, New York. Matthias died
on September 15, 1658 in Southold, Long Island, New York.
John Corwin married Marjorie unknown last name. John
and Marjorie were the parents of Thomas, Matthias and George.
