Emma Mae Garner (Mimi)
was born on January 2, 1893 in Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio.
The eldest daughter of Charles Garner and Rosa Ann Tucker. She was artistic and musical.
On October 31, 1914 Emma and Victor Boltin Hough
were married in Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia. Emma's
occupation at the time of her marriage was that of a Milliner,
a person who designs, makes, trims or sells women's hats. When
Emma gave birth to her eldest daughter she and Vic were living
at 317 Adams Street in Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio. Emma
and Vic were the parents of Vivian Mae, Pauline and Victor. By
November 15, 1926 Emma was living in Fort Myers, Lee County, Florida.
Emma'f faith was Presbyterian. Emma died on February 12, 1969
in Lee Memorial Hospital, Fort Myers, Lee County, Florida and
was buried on February 15, 1969 in Fort Myers Cemetery. Her cause
of death was Congestive Heart Failure with contributing factors
of Arteriosclerotic Heart Disease and Retroperitoncal Lymphoma.
Charles
H. Garner was born before 1871 in Ohio. Charles and Rosa
Ann Tucker were married by W.A.
Roush, M.G. on June 23, 1892 in Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio.
They were the parents of Emma Mae and Florence Charlean. Charles
died about 1897.
