Lydia Horton
was born on April 24, 1752 in Massachusetts. She was the daughter
of Hezekiah Horton and Mary Martin.
Lydia married Benjamin Ballou
about 1770 in Rhode Island. Lydia and Benjamin were the parents
of Martin, Barbary and Asahel. Lydia died on February 19, 1845
in Monroe, Franklin County, Massachusetts.
Hezekiah
Horton was born on September 1, 1714 in Massachusetts. He
was one of eight children born to John Horton and Mehitabel
Garnsey. Hezekiah married Mary
Martin on December 23, 1735 in Rehoboth,
Bristol County, Massachusetts. Hezekiah and Mary were the parents
of Lydia. Hezekiah died on August 19, 1787 in Guilford, Windham
County, Vermont.
John Horton was born on
June 6, 1672 in Milton, Massachusetts. He was one of six children
born to Thomas Horton and Sarah Harmon.
John married Mehitabel Garnsey
in March of 1689 in Rehoboth, Bristol County, Massachusetts. John
and Mehitabel were the parents of Thomas, Sarah, David, John,
Jotham, Nathaniel, Jonathan and Hezekiah. John died on October
15, 1742 in Rehoboth, Massachusetts.
Thomas
Horton was born about 1641, the son of Thomas Horton
and Mary Eddy. About 1668 Thomas married Sarah Harmon.
Thomas and Sarah were the parents of Rachel, John, Jonathan, Thomas,
David and Solomon. On December 25, 1693 in Milton, Massachusetts,
Thomas took as his second wife Susannah unknown last name,
the widow of John Keney. Thomas married third Katherine
Harrison on June 5, 1700 in Rehoboth, Bristol County, Massachusetts.
Thomas died before March 8, 1715 in Rehoboth, Bristol County,
Massachusetts.
Thomas Horton immigrated
to Springfield, Massachusetts aboard "The Mary and John"
in 1632. Thomas' beliefs were those of a Puritan. Thomas married
Mary Eddy and they were the parents of Thomas.
