Lucy Lee
was born on February 28, 1777 in Thompson, Connecticut and was
christened on April 6 of that year in the Thompson Congregational
Church. She was one of ten children born to Jesse Lee and
Eunice Morgan. On December 24, 1794 Lucy married James
Streeter. Lucy and James were
the parents of Roxey, James, Nancy, Arad, Asa, Aaron, Eunice,
James, Lucy, Nancy, Gratia, Fannie and Nancy. Lucy died on February
7, 1866 in Vernon, Vermont.
Jesse Lee was
born on August 8, 1741 in Killingly, Connecticut. He was one of
thirteen children born to John Lee and Margaret Wilson. Jesse was christened at the
Thompson Congregational Church on October 11, 1741. Jesse married
Eunice Morgan on January 12, 1769. Jesse and Eunice were
the parents of Asa, John, Benjamin, Joseph, Mary, Lucy, Eunice,
Jesse, Eli and Caleb. About 1780 Jesse and family moved from Killingly,
Connecticut to Vernon, Vermont. Jesse died on July 11, 1816.
Eunice Morgan was born on
March 13, 1747. She died on July 22, 1824.
John Lee was born
about 1701 in Watertown, Massachusetts. One of six children born
to Samuel Lee and Mary unknown last name. John married
Margaret Wilson on March 13,
1725 at the Putnam Heights Church in Killingly, Connecticut. John
and Margaret were the parents of Samuel, Margaret, Phebe, John,
Job, Simeon, Jonathan, James, Jesse, Hannah, Benjamin, Wilson
and Sybil. On April 14, 1732, Phineas Lee, Isaac Lee,
John Commins, Jr. and Mary, Thomas Whitmore
and Elizabeth, Stephen Cady and Abigail Cady, sold
John all real estate of honoured father, Samuel Lee, late of Killingly,
deceased. In June of 1781 John moved to Vernon, Windham County,
Vermont, where he died in 1784 at the home of his son, Jesse.
Samuel Lee was born about 1669. The only
son born to Samuel Lee and Mercy Call.
Samuel married Mary unknown last name. Samuel and Mary
were the parents of Elizabeth, John, Abigail, Mary, Phineas and
Isaac. Record of deeds at Cambridge, Volume 9 page 86, record
the deed of sale of a tract of farm land in Watertown from John
Maddox, for 28 pounds to John Brown and Samuel Lee,
Yeoman, both of Watertown, dated October 4,1704. In Volume 20,
page 73 of the same records is found a sale of 80 acres of land
from Samuel and Mary Lee, of Weston (Weston was set off from Watertown
in 1712), to Ebenezer Chadwick, for 346 pounds dated December
10,1717. On February 17, 1717/18 Samuel bought 160 acres with
buildings in Killingly, Connecticut from Joseph Dana for
240 pounds. On January 10,1720/21 he bought 500 acres from Samuel
Cutler for 300 pounds. And on December 10, 1722 he bought
from Michael Fellshaw 200 acres for 200 pounds. Samuel
died in 1728 in Killingly, Connecticut.
Mary unknown
last name died about 1732 as her homestead was deeded to John
Lee April 5, 1732.
Samuel Lee was born
before September 1640. On November 4, 1662, Samuel and Mercy
Call were married by Reverend Russell
in Malden, Massachusetts. Samuel and Mercy were the parents of
Mary, Samuel, Elizabeth and Hannah. Samuel died in August 1676
in Malden, Massachusetts.
