Hannah Maris
was born on February 17, 1698 or 1699 in Springfield, Chester
County, Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of George Maris
and Jane Maddock. On October 22, 1719 Hannah married John
Owen at the Chester Monthly Meeting
of Friends in Chester, Pennsylvania. Hannah and John were the
parents of Jane, George, Elizabeth, Rebecca and Susannah. Hannah
died in 1752 in Chester County, Pennsylvania.
George
Maris married Jane Maddock and they were
the parents of Hannah. George was a Provincial Councillor and
a Colonial Justice of Pennsylvania.
