Desire Safford
was born on October 17, 1717 in Voluntown, Windham County, Connecticut.
She was the daughter of John Saffard and Dorothey Larrabee. On February 5, 1736 Desire
married Samuel Gore in Norwich,
New London County, Connecticut. Desire and Samuel were the parents
of John, Elizabeth, Hannah, Elijah, Dorithy, Abel, Desire, Amos,
Esther and Ebenezer. Desire died on September 11, 1772 in Voluntown,
Connecticut.
John Saffard was born on December
28, 1687. He was one of eight children born to John Safford
and Hannah Newman. John married Dorothey Larrabee
and they were the parents of Desire.
John Safford married
Hannah Newman and they were the parents of John, Hannah, Sarah,
Mary, Elizabeth, Margaret, Joseph and Gideon. Most if not all
of their children were born in Ipswich, Massachusetts.
