Paternal Paternal Line

Mary SniderMary Catherine Snider was born on April 29, 1837 in Licking County, Ohio. She was one of six children born to Jacob D. Snider and Sarah Cole. On May 1, 1853 Mary married William N. Gilbert. Mary and William were the parents of Jacob Henry, Joseph, Sarah Elizabeth, John, Jess Merton, Michael, Florence and George Washington. Mary died on November 6, 1912 in Casey, Clark County, Illinois and is buried in Casey Cemetery, Clark County, Illinois.

 

 

Jacob D. Snider was born on August 26, 1803 in Maryland. Jacob married Sarah Cole on August 1, 1833. Jacob and Sarah were the parents of Josephus T., Ephrim, Mary Catherine, Susannah, Margaret Ellen and Margaret Ann. Jacob died on February 26, 1880 in Cumberland County, Illinois. He was buried in Paul Cemetery, Cumberland County, Illinois.
